The Apprentice Season 6: Los Angeles Show 8

I just finished watching The Apprentice Season 6: Los Angeles eighth episode.

I agree with Trump's decision to fire Surya, although it was close between him and James. I do not like James's positioning toward the end of the task with questions that provide cover. Once a team has gone a certain direction and especially once the team has gone beyond the point of no return, all members must do everything possible to succeed. Throwing seeds of doubt is destructive. With regard to Surya, I am always cautious when the team focuses on one member, because even if the member is disliked, very often that member was a pivotal reason why the team won. As I wrote about the last episode, Arrow would have won with or without Surya. Moreover, he has an awkward style about him where he drives others nuts. In short, he is not a good leader yet. Thus, he does not fit the ideal apprentice candidate for Trump.

I was disappointed with Muna. She is overly obsessive about details. While Trump would appreciate a strong lieutenant with attention to detail, he needs someone stronger as a leader who is able to delegate and trust. Muna lacks the ability to quickly grasp the larger picture and run with it. That said, I still like her and think she is one of the stronger members.

I was, however, impressed with Kristine's performance. She was able to see the larger picture, delegate, and execute. Consequently, she was in control and confident. Her only fault, which was minor, was that she was a bit quiet in the boardroom. I think her loyalty to Surya did not serve her well in that she could have asked questions that were more penetrating.

Although we have not seen all the candidates in leadership roles, so far my favorite is Kristine.

Agree with your comments. Kind of interesting how Tim is moving along in the background on that team. Sure, the boxing ring idea wasn't that great, but he keeps off the radar.

Kristine looks like the star of the bunch so far.

I just realized I mixed up Kristine and Heidi. I corrected my text above. I am glad you commented and caused me to reread my post. :-)

Arrow--Tim, Nicole, James, Stefani, and Frank--does not have any exceptionally strong leaders as yet. None stand out.

On Kinetic, only Kristine stands out so far.

As I have stated, I wish the show alternated leaders so that we could get to know and assess the candidates strengths and weaknesses better.
