Business and Financial Websites

10KWizard 10KWizard is the best site for obtaining 10Ks and other corporate filings. You need to dig deep into a company's filings to best understand the company. 10KWizard allows you to readily monitor and access unlimited number of stocks for new corporate filings.

Bloomberg Bloomberg is an excellent website for comprehensive information.

Fleckenstein Capital Bill Fleckenstein is a noted hedge fund short seller. He has his own website as well. While I don't always agree with Bill's assessment, I sure do learn a lot from reading his site. Fleckenstein Capital is a subscription based.

Jim Rogers This is one of my favorite websites because it covers Jim's and Paige's Millennium's World Tour. Jim and Paige drove around the world during 1999-2002. Their adventures are well chronicled on this website through photos, videos, audio, and text. You can literally spend hours going through all the information. And I always enjoy reading about Jim's observation and thoughts concerning travel and business.

MSN Money MSN Money an excellent website for financial information. MSN Money has the best portfolio tracker that I have seen on the web.

New York Times Business Section For investors, this site is also a necessity. It features several strong writers and provides insightful commentary. It is a free site, though it does require registration.

Pimco Bill Gross is the bond king. Whether you have an interest in bonds or not, you need to read Bill Gross to best understand how the world's bond king views the landscape. Bill Gross is an exceptional writer, which makes reading his comments even that much more enjoyable.

RealMoney.com This website is also an necessity if you are interested in investing. It is the paid subscription site of the TheStreet.com. This site features James C. Cramer.

Seeking Alpha α Seeking Alpha is a very helpful and valuable website for general financial articles. It is especially valuable to accessing conference transcripts. I find that I am far more effective skimming conference transcripts looking for key information than I am listening to a repeated conference call. Prior to Seeking Alpha, investors had to pay thousands of dollars to professional services to have access to conference call transcripts. Now, they are available to everyone. This is of tremendous value—take advantage of it.

Street Insight Street Insight is a high-end financial site, also a sister site to RealMoney, for those who are serious about investing. It features several very strong writers, including Doug Kass. You will see controversial and often contrarian commentary on this site.

Wall Street Journal This website is an absolute necessity for those interested in investing. This is usually the first and last website of the day that I read.

Financial Times Like the Wall Street Journal this website is an absolute necessity for those interested in investing. The Wall Street Journal and Financial Times each have their own unique strengths; however, both are necessities.

Yahoo Finance Yahoo Finance is an outstanding and free financial website. It is the only free website that I know that provides both earnings and revenue estimates. I also like that Yahoo provides an excellent one page summary.
